A full week on safari! The variety of Kenya’s land, wildlife and scenery is an endless fascination on this easy paced tour. There will be plenty of time for you to view game and relax at key points during this family friendly safari.
For children and seniors as well, this fun adventure will provide a rich variety of big game, bird life and water creatures. Your friendly and expert guide will ensure your comfort and accommodate your requests throughout this special week.
SAFARI ITINERARY
DAY 1 – NAIROBI – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK (250 KM – APPROX. 3.5 – 4 HOURS)
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport or Nairobi area residence. We’ll head out for Amboseli National Park on the Nairobi – Mombasa Highway
Our journey begins travelling over the African savannah with its local farms. You may spot Masai herdsmen in their colourful wraps tending their cattle.
We’ll enjoy lunch at our Amboseli accommodation, with time to freshen up and relax.
As promised, the imposing form of Mt. Kilimanjaro dominates the scenery of this small park, where wildlife are often spotted through the sparse scrub.
The afternoon will see us on game drives, and we’re sure to see, Amboseli’s famous elephants marching to or from a favourite watering hole.

DAY 2 – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY
Meal plan.Breakfast,lunch,dinner.
This will be a full day of game viewing drives. Plenty of time to soak up the wildlife and the magnificent scenery. And we’ve allowed time for relaxation as well.
There will be an early morning game drive. Then breakfast will be followed by a mid-morning drive. After a comfortable lunch we’ll set out on a later afternoon game drive.
Between the wildlife viewing sessions, relax at your Amboseli lodge or camp. They will provide meals and other activities.
As always, your safari vehicle and driver/ guide are at your disposal for even more game viewing drives.

Day 3 – Amboseli – Lake Naivasha – (340 km: Approx. 6 hrs)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Proceed to the Lake Naivasha at the floors of the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive at the Lake Naivasha in time for lunch
Afternoon boat safari at the Lake Naivasha where you view exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this freshwater rift valley lake.
Later proceed for a guided walking safari at the Crescent Island.

Day 4 -Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru: (80km – Approx. 1 hr)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
We shall hire bikes and cycle to the nearby Hell’s gate national park where you explore on foot this canyon as you spot small game.
Later a short 1 hour drive will take us to the Lake Nakuru national park.
Birdlife abounds with flamingos seen in their thousands together with pelicans and other bird species.
The lake Nakuru national park is home to the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffe and many more.

Day 5 – Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara:(285 km: 6-7 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
An early bird and game viewing drive as you exit the lake Nakuru national park.
Proceed to the Masai mara game reserve.
Arrive Masai Mara and proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive

DAY 6 – FULL DAY AT THE MASAI MARA
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Your day will be filled with unlimited game drives and we’ll begin early, traversing these golden savannahs in search of the large game like lion, leopard, cheetah, and the smaller hyena and jackal.
Sightings are common in this park so you’re sure to be active and engaged throughout our drives.
If you’re here from July through October, you’ll witness a stunning influx of wildlife into the park during the Great Migration – the season when gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra flood into the park over the Mara River in a timeless cycle of birth, death and renewal.
We’ll take a picnic lunch by the Mara River where we may see hippo and also crocodile awaiting the influx of wildlife.
We have provided still more optional activities for you in the park. We can arrange for a visit to the local Maasai people, to see their village and learn about their culture and lifestyle. This would be a good opportunity to pick up some of their colourful beaded handiwork.

DAY 7 – MASAI MARA – NAIROBI (265 KMS – 6 HRS)

After our final safari breakfast, we’ll enjoy our drive as we head back to Nairobi.
We should arrive at about 16:00 hrs. (4:00 pm).
We will bring you to your Nairobi hotel, residence or the airport.
From elephants and Mt. Kilimanjaro to sailing and biking safaris to the great wash of wildlife at the Masai Mara, this has been a very full African safari.
