SAFARI PLAN
Nairobi – Amboseli (250 km. – Approx. 4 Hrs)
Meal plan : Lunch, Dinner
7:00 hrs. Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport or Nairobi area residence. We’ll head out in our private 4 x 4 Jeep for Amboseli National Park on the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway.
Our drive will take us through Masai country and toward the guiding iconic form of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
We should arrive at Amboseli in the late morning with plenty of time to freshen up and enjoy lunch at your accommodation.
Then we’re off in our private safari Vehicle to track wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, and lion. We won’t need to track elephants as the park always offers ample herds for our viewing enjoyment.
With Kilimanjaro standing watch over the reserve like a giant picture postcard you’ll love taking photos in this busy and scenic park.
OVERNIGHT – We’ll spend the evening in Amboseli at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.
Amboseli National Park – Lake Naivasha (340 km: Approx. 5-6 hrs)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
We will start the day with breakfast at our accommodation then followed by a game drive in our 4 x 4 to see the sunlight breaking over the park as we get out of the park through the glimpses of the wildlife and the mighty mountain.
We will be on our way traveling over the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley. Traveling to Lake Naivasha, we’ll stop in Nairobi at a noted restaurant to enjoy lunch or if time is going to be on our side, we will have our lunch at our accommodation in Lake Naivasha.
We’ll proceed on our journey, reaching Lake Naivasha in the late afternoon – we may take a fun boat safari across the pretty lake, sailing by hippos, fish and taking in cormorant, pelican and perhaps see zebra and antelope grazing over on the shore.
OVERNIGHT -We’ll spend the night at the Lake Naivasha safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.
Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve(240Km – Approx. 4-5 hours)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Let’s rise with the sun and head to Lake Naivasha for a boating safari over the lake, if we wont have done it already.
There’s so much to do in the Lake Naivasha area. We’ll take a guided walking safari to nearby Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. Acre for acre this park has more animals than any other Kenyan park and we’ll stroll by as they peacefully graze.
But now it’s time to set out for the most famous wildlife park in the world – Masai Mara National Reserve.
We’ll arrive in time for lunch in our accommodation and we will enjoy a game drive and get our first taste of the sweep, the beauty and the active wildlife inhabiting this famous park.
All of Africa’s Big Five are here, and sightings of lion and cheetah are common.
We’ll spend the first of two nights at the Masai Mara at your safari lodge or tented camp.
Full day – Masai Mara
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
The Masai Mara is known for having the highest density of wildlife in the region.
So, we’ll be up early to track that wildlife over hills and savannahs, looking for the big predators but also some of the other 90 species of mammals filling this exciting ecosystem.
The reserve is also home to the Great Migration (July – October), when hordes of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra by the tens of thousands cross over the Mara River into the park on their yearly quest for taller, fresher grasses on which to feed.
We’ll take a picnic lunch at the Mara River, within sight of hippos and crocodiles, and if during the migration season, splendid views of the invading herds crossing into the park, in a sight unmatched anywhere.
Here are some optional activities to enhance your stay at the Mara: Enjoy a visit with the local Maasai people in their nearby village, see their homes, learn about their culture, and perhaps purchase some of their colorful jewelry.
We also offer a pre-dawn hot air balloon safari over the park. This is a not-to-be-missed moment on your tour – imagine viewing the Mara come alive with the new day as the wildlife emerges onto the savannah. Your driver/guide can make all the arrangements.
OVERNIGHT – Our final night at the Masai Mara will be at the safari lodge or tented camp of your choice.
Masai Mara – Nairobi: (265km – Approx. 5 hrs)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
A final breakfast at our accommodation
Our last morning to journey out from Masai Mara – let’s make the most of it with a visit to the Masai Village and get to learn how the co-exist with the wild animals as well as how they have managed to preserve their cultural ways
Now we’re headed back to Nairobi and should arrive at about 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm).
From the great elephants of Amboseli to close-up game watching at Lake Naivasha to the splendor of land and wildlife at Masai Mara, this has been a safari adventure to remember. Thank you so much for your patronage and the trust you have placed in us.
